Planning Your Visit

Getting Here

If you’re driving you can get to Lancaster via the M6 leaving at Junction 34. Bear in mind there could be roadworks so allow time for that. Festival venues are a short walk from the train station and bus station.

You can also take avantage of Lancaster's Park & Ride if you're coming from out of town.

Travelling by car? See Highways England

Travelling by bus? See Traveline

Travelling by train? See National Rail Enquiries

For parking see Lancaster City Council - Car Parks

All venues are within half a mile (750m) of Lancaster Market Square and most can be accessed via a pedestrian area.

Staying in Lancaster

There are unlikely to be any rooms available if you haven’t booked well in advance but you can camp, or park your caravan, at Lancaster Cricket Club (by the quay).

There are plenty of places to eat in the city with some of them being festival venues themselves.

We cannot guarantee accessibility to every venue and it ranges from very accessible to limited. If you are in any doubt we have volunteers in blue team T shirts who will be glad to advise you if the event you wish to attend is suitable or not for you.

For future festivals we will have accessibility information on this website for every participating venue.

We have numerous events throughout the weekend in accessible squares and spaces within the city.

Changing Places Toilet

A changing places toilet is available at the Cornerstone Café, Sulyard Street LA1 1PX. The centre is open:
